8. Tanglewood

Once a prairie in Southwest Houston, the Tanglewood neighborhood has become one of the most delightful and charming residential areas Houston has to offer. Home to former President George Bush and his wife Barbara, this area is known for its sensational homes and well-wooded landscape. Tanglewood was developed in the 1940's, and as all things change with time, so have the homes in this community.

Tanglewood boasts traditional two-story style executive homes, in Spanish and Mediterranean styles as well as the elegant Georgian homes. The Tanglewood Homes Association maintains strict deed restrictions to protect the neighborhood.
