Jim Barker is a native Houstonian and a member of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, where he serves as a Eucharistic Visitor. In addition to his church activities, he enjoys travel, architecture, Houston’s history and photography.

Little Free Libraries encourage people to "Take a Book; Give a Book". The City of West University Place will place one Little Free Library in each of our six public parks. Each will reflect a local landmark - this first Little Free Library in Colonial Park is built to resemble West U Elementary and commemorates the school's 75th anniversary.
Please welcome Vicki Chu as a Broker Associate of Roger Martin Properties. Vicki lives in Bellaire, Texas and works in Bellaire, West University Place, and the Houston Medical Center. She speaks Mandarin Chinese.
Vicki has spent three decades working with Houston builders and homeowners. Her background makes her a perfect fit for Houston's mobile, high-tech real estate clients. Vicki was born in Taiwan and raised in Bangkok, where her father worked for the United Nations. She came to the USA for college, graduating in the top of her class. Vicki was the first female chemical engineer hired by Exxon to provide operations support at their Baytown refinery. For a number of years, Vicki supported herself as a stock market investor, where her strong mathematical skills gave her an analytic edge. But selling real estate has always been her passion. Vicki loves meeting people and providing the best service possible in the complicated world of residential real estate.

Meet Stephen and Charles Candela, who founded Candela Custom Homes in 1985. The brothers are second-generation home builders, and learned the trade from their father.
